For those of you that don't know me, I started in the Carlton Hotel Dublin Airport back September as part of my Marketing course with NUI Galway and for someone who loves to be on the go my placement couldn't have been a better match! I was delighted to be asked to guest blog this week and would love to take this opportunity to fill you all in on our upcoming wedding fair.

Following the busy weekend we had at the Wedding Journal Show at the start of January we here at the Carlton Hotel Dublin Airport, Dublin's top wedding venue, decided the best way to follow up all our enquiries was to hold our first Wedding Fair of 2013. The fair is the same day as the Bride of the Year show, the 27th of January, in the hope you will make Sunday a day out and pop into us after the hustle and bustle of the RDS.

With the help of some of the team here I have spent the last few weeks booking suppliers for the fair to ensure all our brides and grooms to be can gather plenty of information to begin organising their big day. Personally I'm looking forward to seeing all the dresses and I'm sure some of you will break your New Year's resolutions at the candy stand and chocolate fountain! We all know the groom to be can only take so much wedding stuff in one day so bring along some friends and leave him in the bar to enjoy a pint or listen to Frankly Buble while you take your time browsing through all on offer.

The brides to be won't be the only ones dolled up on the day, our four star hotel in Dublin will be dressed to impress with vintage cars and red carpet in tow, ready for everyone to view our Collinstown Suite, luxurious rooftop bedrooms and our impressive Clouds Suite with its view of Dublin Airport runway.

The fair starts at 2pm and we already have couples who are soon to be tying the knot booking showarounds during the fair, which is great news! Couples who book their wedding on the day of the fair will be offered discounts on their big day at the Carlton Hotel Dublin Airport so there is no excuse not to visit. It promises to be a great success!

Have a lovely weekend, stay warm and don't forget to stop by the Carlton Hotel Dublin Airport on Sunday if you are in the area,
