"Company" means Carlton Hotel Group.
"Hotel Stay" is a night or nights that an CarltON member registers, pays for and stays in a Participating hotel.
"Membership" means membership of the CarltON Rewards Programme.
"Participating Hotel" means any of the hotels owned or operated by the Company other than a hotel that in the sole opinion of the Company should cease to be a Participating Hotel.
"CarltonON member" means a person that has been accepted as a member of the CarltON Rewards Programme.
"Carlton Points" means that the points awarded to the Rewards member for a Hotel Stay in a Participating Hotel which shall entitle a Rewards member to points in accordance with clause 3 of this agreement which in turn shall entitle the CarltON Member to Programme Rewards.
"CarltON Rewards Programme" means the programme entitling members to the benefits offered and subject to these terms and conditions.
"CarltON Rewards" means the gifts .
"CarltON Benefits" means the benefits actually requested by the member in the application form in which benefits can be altered by the Company if it, in its sole opinion, believes that any of the benefits should cease or be modified.
2.1 Membership to the CarltON Rewards Programme is offered at the sole discretion of the Company.
2.2 Membership entitles an CarltON member to Reward Points, and the redemption of the reward Points entitles the CarltON Rewards member to Programme Rewards subject to all applicable laws and regulations and subject also to income tax and other taxes which shall be the sole liability and responsibility of the Affinity member.
2.3 A CarltON member must quote his or her membership number at the time of booking.
2.4 If more than one Membership is assigned to a person, he or she will only receive CarltON Rewards Points on one account and the duplicate account or other accounts will be cancelled.
2.5 The CarltON Rewards member is obliged to notify the Company in writing of any change in address from the address in the CarltON Rewards Member Programme application form.
3. CarltON Rewards Points
3.1 The CarltON Rewards Member will receive Carlton Points for every €100 spent, only if the booking has been made direct with the hotel or through the hotel's own website. Bookings made through third party sites or any other websites will not be eligable for points.
3.2 Notwithstanding a Hotel Stay, no CarltON Points will be awarded or received for:
(a) charges incurred for conferences including room hire and food and beverages and banquet functions.
3.3 CarltON Points cannot be earned simultaneously with any other loyalty scheme points which are in partnership with the Company in relation to the same Hotel Stay.
3.4 CarltON Points will be awarded in Euro. The CarltON Rewards member will receive 1,000 points for every €100 spent at a Participating Hotel. This may be subject to change at the discretion on the Company.
3.5 A CarltON member is only eligible to receive CarltON Points if the CarltON member stays at a Participating Hotel.
3.6 Rewards Points earned at a Participating Hotel outside the Euro zone will be based on the exchange rate provided by the Central Bank in Ireland on the last day of the month as posted on its website.
3.7 A room in a Participating Hotel being occupied by one or more CarltON member will only attract CarltON Points to one CarltON member.
3.8 CarltON Points accrued by a CarltON member are for the CarltON members sole benefit only and may not be assigned or transferred to any other person.
3.9 Any request to add and modify the Hotels Stays in more than one year from the date received cannot be accommodated.
3.10 Participating hotels are subject to change
4. Account Activities Statement
The CarltON member will receive an Activity Statement if and only if the CarltON member has earned CarltON points or claimed a Programme Reward during the three month period prior to issue of the activity statement. Individual Activity Statements will not be duplicated.
5. Programme Rewards
5.1 Programme Rewards may take up to three months for delivery.
5.2 Programme Rewards must be claimed in the manner specified by the Company from time to time.
5.3 Once a Programme Reward has been claimed, it cannot be exchanged.
5.4 The Programme Reward can be altered by the Company at its sole discretion either partially or wholly.
6. Service Benefits
The Service Benefits
The Company's address for the service of notices shall be the CarltON Rewards Programme, Carlton Hotel Group Central Reservations Office, Parkway House, Old Airport Road, Cloghran, Co Dublin.
8.1 A CarltON Membership and/or the CarltON Rewards Programme may be terminated by the Company at any time.
8.2 A CarltON member will have six months from the date that the CarltON Programme is terminated to redeem CarltON Points for a Programme Reward after which the CarltON Points are forfeited and no claim can be made for a Programme Reward.
8.3 Any CarltON member who has not earned CarltON Points for twelve consecutive months can be removed from the CarltON Programme and CarltON Points in the name of the CarltON member will be forfeited.
9. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are to be construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland and the parties submit themselves to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish Courts.
10. Prior Loyalty Schemes
The CarltON Rewards Programme will supersede and replace all other loyalty schemes operated by the Company.
The Company will not be prejudiced or restricted by any indulgence of forbearance extended to the CarltON member. No waiver by the Company in respect of a breach of these terms and conditions shall operate as a waiver in respect of any subsequent breach of these terms and conditions.
