After a week of warm weather it was great that the sunshine held up for Easter weekend and we were all able to make the most of it over the long bank holiday weekend. Unusually I didn't actually have any commitments over the weekend and it was great to get to spend the time at home. Although I must admit I overindulged slightly on the chocolate on Sunday but I'm sure I wasn't the only one!
The talk this week has been all about the Royal Wedding with discussions over who's going to attend and what they're going to wear. Although I wouldn't normally follow fashion news all the talk about Kate's dress over the past few weeks could not be avoided. I must admit though I wasn't one of the 2 billion people watching Kate's arrival to the church! Although I was really interested to hear the latest innovative idea the marketing team at the Carlton Shearwater Hotel came up with. In celebration of the wedding they are offering a free overnight's stay to anyone called William or Kate. They launched the offer on Tuesday and it has already generated a lot of positive publicity for the hotel both locally and nationally. From what I hear they've already taken a lot of bookings on this offer so if you are planning to take advantage of the free night I would advise you to book soon.
This weekend I'm hoping to head to the Aviva to watch Leinster take on Toulouse in the Heineken Cup semi-final. This game is so important that Brian O'Driscoll missed the Royal Wedding as he is training for tomorrow. Hopefully his decision not to attend will work in our favour and Leinster will make it to the final in Cardiff.
Whatever you're up to this weekend, have a good one and lets hope the weather lasts!
