“It was a most enjoyable weekend for all who travelled to Ballinasloe – well located for people travelling from all corners of the country. The Conference Centre and facilities are excellent with very spacious meeting rooms with all VDU equipment available. Tea/coffee etc provided when requested. All members were more than happy with their accommodation. The meals and service in the Restaurant were excellent and because of the space in the hotel, groups could have a leisurely chat in any of the bars, hotel foyer and of course found the time for some time in the Spa! It was my first time to organise a conference on behalf of this group. It was hassle free with no fears that the group would be unhappy with any aspect of the services provided. I was able to rest easy knowing that the weekend was going to run smoothly as the service and assistance given to me before the weekend from the staff was 100%”.

Just a quick note to say a Very Big Thank You to all the staff in the Carlton Shearwater Hotel. I have to say it was one of the easiest Chapter Officers I have worked on, usually I spend my time chasing things that need to be sorted. From the girls at reception, I know we must have done their heads in on Friday evening to Lorraine, Neely and Killian, whatever we asked for over the weekend even if it was from one of the lads setting up the tables for lunch, it was delivered. Not once did we have to chase anyone up and believe me that is such a rare experience.

All our board, participants all had good things to say. The service, nearly forgot the food, thank the lads in the kitchen, all was excellent. If I have forgotten anyone I apologise.
