Zorbing, the new craze at Carlton Shearwater!

Posted: 2010-07-07 10:07:00 I love to hear of new initiatives happening at our hotels and I think Carlton Shearwater get the prize this month for the most unique guest activity, zorbing! For the "uninitiated", this involves climbing into a giant plastic ball and rolling down a hill at top speed! Guaranteed to get our younger (and not so young) guests out of bed on a Saturday morning!
 
For slightly less adventurous guests, who would still like to get out and about and see some of the local countryside, the hotel is also offering a "Getaway with a difference", with kayaking and orienteering trips.

Our activity partners “Upriver.ie” are highly trained and experienced team of professionals who are as dedicated to exceeding your expectations as we are.
All gear is supplied and guests can arrange to be picked up and returned via water taxi from the Carlton Shearwater Hotel. If the aches and pains set in you can finish with a sauna swim and massage back our award winning C Spa or refuel from our revered Bar Bistro menu.  This all inclusive package will be bookable online at carlotn.ie. Prices start from €89.00 pps and include your choice activity and one nights stay (B&B) at Carlton Shearwater.
