A Week of Two Finals

Posted: 2010-12-17 16:30:00 This week began with Bill Cullen choosing his next apprentice in the final of TV3’s Apprentice and will end with me finding my new apprentice as we reach the final in the search for the Carlton Apprentice.

On Monday night I attended the wrap party for TV’s Apprentice in Crystal and it was a great night. I must admit it was great to get the opportunity to chat to all the candidates after briefly meeting them for the Carlton task on the show. They were all very friendly but in true reality show fashion a few of them came across very differently to how they were portrayed on the show. It’s definitely all about making good TV but to be honest that’s what kept us all glued to the show for the past 13 weeks! Bill and Jackie made an appearance, along with the winner Michelle but she had to make it a early night as she had to be fresh for her appearance on Ireland AM the next morning.

Following the first task in the Carlton Apprentice, Brendan Havlin and Lisa Kehoe sold the most vouchers over the two days and as a result were announced as the two finalists in the competition. Both candidates will go head to head this weekend selling vouchers in two busy shopping centres from Friday to Sunday. Brendan will have a stand at the Pavilions in Swords and Lisa will have a stand at the Whitewater Shopping Centre in Newbridge. They will both also have some extra help from two well known apprentices from the TV3 show with Will working with Brendan in Swords and Barry working with Lisa in Newbridge. If you’re around either shopping centre this weekend you should call in and buy a voucher to show your support. I’d like to wish both candidates the best of luck and I’ll hopefully get the chance to get out and see both of them over the weekend.

I’ve a busy weekend ahead of me but if I get the chance I hope to call out to the Carlton Hotel Dublin Airport for their Frankly Bublé Christmas Show tomorrow night. I’ve seen the guys perform before at a Rose of Tralee event and they were really entertaining so I’d love to get the chance to see them again.

If we get the cold snap that’s promised, remember you can buy our Carlton gift cards online so you can sort all your Christmas presents from the comfort of your couch! Enjoy your weekends and take care on the road if you do have to go out.
