Shearwater Spa Relaunch

Posted: 2011-12-09 13:00:00 This week began with the relaunch of the spa at the Carlton Shearwater Hotel on Monday. I had a very busy schedule for the week but I managed to keep Monday evening free to attend the launch and I’m glad I did because it was a great event. The spa has undergone some refurbishment and has been rebranded as Heather & Earth by C Spa. Before the relaunch I got a chance to have a look round the new spa and had a chance to take in the new additions including their new café. The event was attended by RTE’s Mary Kennedy and Rose of Tralee Tara Talbot along with many of the locals who came out to show their support for the hotel. There were plenty of cocktails, canapés, treatment demonstrations and goodie bags on offer which seemed to be well received. Overall the night was a great success and I wish the Carlton Shearwater Hotel the best of luck with their new spa.

Also this week we have the return of the search for the Carlton Apprentice. Following the success of the competition last year we decided to run it again this year. The competition begins this weekend with the apprentices going head to head selling Carlton vouchers in shopping centres across Ireland. The voucher sales will be counted on Saturday evening with the four finalists being announced on Sunday. I’ll be sure to fill you in on how they all got on next week.

If you’re down near Tralee this weekend you should call over to Tralee Rugby Club where Munster are playing in Kerry for the first time in over a century. I won’t make it down myself but for those of you who do I hope you enjoy the game!
