Happy New Year

Posted: 2012-01-06 16:00:00 Happy New Year to you all, hope you had a great Christmas and enjoyed the time off. I only just went back to work myself this week and I must admit I really enjoyed the holidays. It was great to get the chance to relax with family and friends and celebrate Christmas at home. It was all the better that we didn’t get a white Christmas this year because we could go visiting family and friends without worrying about being snowed in.

It was back with a bang for us here at Carlton as we relaunched our January room sale on Wednesday following the success of last year’s sale. We offered 50% off our B&B rates for 48 hours only and there was a lot of interest on it. In the end the sale was a great success and it looks like there will be plenty of people “staycationing” at Carlton hotels this year.

Off course the big focus in sports for me this week is the Leinster and Cardiff rugby game on Saturday. They are currently top of the leader board in the RaboDirect PRO12 and to continue they will need to defeat the Cardiff Blues at the away game in Wales this weekend. I’ve every confidence that they’ll do it and hopefully they’ll follow through and come home with a win!

I know what I’ll be doing Saturday night anyway but I hope you all enjoy whatever you get up to and best of luck to Leinster!
