Rose Tour Begins!

Posted: 2013-08-14 17:00:00 We are well into the Rose Tour at this stage and what a week it has been so far. The Roses arrived at the Carlton Hotel Blanchardstown on Sunday but weren’t given long to settle in as they made the journey to Newbridge Silverware showrooms in Kildare where they received tips and advice from Celia Holman Lee. On Monday they visited some of Dublin’s top attractions and then spent the evening being wined and dined at the Carlton Hotel Blanchardstown. It was great to get the chance to meet some of the Roses at the event but I’m already worried about how I’m going to choose one winner because they are all such lovely ladies!

On Tuesday morning the Roses left the Carlton Blanchardstown and made their way up North, visiting Belfast and Derry City and will leave for Galway on Thursday morning. The Roses will travel to our sister hotel, The Salthill Hotel tomorrow night and will then head onto Tralee on Friday morning. The Rose Ball will take place in the Dome at the Carlton Hotel Tralee Friday night and with over 1,000 people attending it’s sure to be an excellent night. I’ve been to the Rose Ball many times over the past few years but this will be my first experience as a judge and I’m really looking forward to it. It won’t be too late of a night though because I’ll have a busy few days ahead with interviews and judging duties as we prepare for the live shows on Monday and Tuesday night.

I’m really looking forward to the next few days in Tralee and getting to know the Roses as myself and my fellow judges decide who will be crowned the 2013 Rose of Tralee! I’ll be back in a few days with more updates on all that is going on in Tralee so make sure to check back then for more.
