The Roses meet the Escorts

Posted: 2011-08-19 16:30:00 There was great excitement in the Carlton Castletroy Park Hotel last night when the 32 Roses arrived, anxiously looking forward to meeting up with their escorts. The escorts couldn’t believe their fortune when they were eventually introduced to the girls before a Gala dinner at the hotel.  During the dinner the guests were entertained by the infamous Celia Holman Lee who put on a fantastic Rose Supermodel fashion show. After the show, the Roses could relax and unwind and get to know the 32 escorts who were going to be assigned as their chaperones over the coming days. The night ended with a charity auction for the very worthy Milford Hospice.

I didn’t make it over to Limerick myself because I had to travel to Tralee yesterday and reviewed all the plans for the week with the general manager of the Carlton Hotel Tralee, Anthony Smiddy, and his team. We have a very exciting line up on the entertainment front both in the Dome and the hotel. Later on that evening I joined the Rose of Tralee with Anthony O’Gara and Anthony Smiddy for dinner and some great stories were swapped.

This morning I joined some friends at Tralee Golf following an early breakfast with Dáithí who was going through last minute details. It was then back to the hotel in the afternoon to prepare for the Rose Ball this evening. If its anything like last year it’ll probably be a late one tonight but I’ll be sure to update you tomorrow on how it went!
