Roses & Rugby

Posted: 2012-05-18 16:30:00 The preparations for this year’s Rose of Tralee are well under way and our marketing team have been working hard this week trying to decide on our PR campaign this year. It’s hard to believe that it’s our fifth year to be involved in the Rose of Tralee Festival. The Carlton Group PR campaigns have been very successful in the past with many people winning free rooms at Carlton Hotels. This year though we’re going with something different and I’m sure it will be very popular. I can’t reveal much about it yet but make sure to keep an eye on our Facebook page as we’ll be giving hints over the next few weeks.

The Carlton Hotel Blanchardstown is full of activity this evening as the ever hopeful Dublin Roses are getting ready for the first round of the Dublin Rose heats tonight in the hotel. This is the second year running the event has been in the Carlton Hotel Blanchardstown and I can safely say that the excitement and anticipation has doubled since last year! The weekend at the hotel is set to be a great one and on behalf of the Carlton Hotel Blanchardstown I would like to wish all the Dublin contenders the best of luck!

Of course the other important event taking place this weekend is the Heineken Cup final between Leinster and Ulster at Twickenham. Ulster will be seeking their first European title in 13 years, while Leinster will be a looking for a third Heineken Cup success in four years. It will be a great game for Irish rugby fans as Ulster and Leinster are old rivals so no doubt both teams will fight hard for the victory. I know I’ll be cheering on Leinster tomorrow afternoon and hopefully they’ll bring the Heineken Cup home!

Hope you all have a great weekend and may the best team win!
