Is Tralee the new Lisdoonvarna?

Posted: 2012-07-20 17:00:00 This week at Carlton, Rose of Tralee fever has really kicked in! Our Sales & Marketing team have just launched this year’s Rose of Tralee campaign and I can’t believe it’s that time already. I know I probably say it ever year but it doesn’t feel like the last one was a year ago, time really does seem to be flying by. Our Sales & Marketing team have spent months preparing ideas and getting the campaign together as it is such a huge event for us.

This year we are challenging Lisdoonvarna as we actually believe the Rose of Tralee Festival could be the biggest match making festival in Ireland! This is our fifth year sponsoring the festival and throughout the years we have seen and heard of so many relationships that have blossomed during the festival. We thought it was about time we try and find out just how many couples have met as a result of the festival over the years. With this in mind and to celebrate our sponsorship of the Rose of Tralee International Festival we are looking for couples who have become love struck at the Rose of Tralee International Festival (or a Rose of Tralee Event) and we want to offer them an opportunity to win some great prizes. So if you have met your significant other at a Rose of Tralee event make sure to click here to submit your story and be in with a chance to win some amazing prizes.

In GAA news this week the focus is of course on the Leinster Football Final on Sunday between Dublin and Meath. After Galway’s surprise victory in the Leinster Hurling Final I wouldn’t dare predict a winner as Galway proved it all depends on who plays better on the day.

Hope you all have a great weekend and if the weather is as good as predicted I’m sure there will be a few barbeques take out of storage!
