Wexford - Bunclody
I spent the earlier part of the week down in the Sunny South East in our Property, the Carlton Millrace. I’ve always been a fan of Wexford so it’s always a pleasure whenever I get the chance to pop down for a visit be it business or leisure.
One of the recent additions to the landscape in Bunclody has been the magnificent Bunclody Golf and Fishing Club, Ian Kerr the club Pro gave me a tour around the course and it’s definitely up there with the best parkland courses in the country. The lift to the 18th Tee has serious WoW factor.
I’ve been brought up with the Galway Races as we lived only a few miles down the road and it was always a treat for the whole family to head down, I’m delighted to say that this year the Carlton Galway City will be sponsoring the Feature race (carlton.ie/galwaycity Qualified Riders Handicap - 7.00pm) on Monday as part of ”Galway’s Best Hotels,” it’s great to see that there is such a strong relationship between all the hospitality providers in the city that they can come together and sponsor the whole card at Monday’s races.
GAA – Galway Hurlers
Just as my adopted county did the business last week, I will be looking forward to the Galway Hurlers game against Tipperary in Croke Park on Sunday. They have a strong team again this year so hopefully we can look forward to a day out in September with them.
