New Partner Hotels

I’d like to start by welcoming you all back after the Christmas break and wishing you a very Happy New Year, hopefully you’re all settling back into work ok. For us it can be hard to settle back in January after the busy Christmas period but what a great start to the year it has turned out to be. Not only did we have our January sale this week, offering 50% off B&B rates, which was a great success but we also welcomed two new partner hotels into our hotel collection.

The first of the two hotels to join our hotel collection this week was the Salthill Hotel in Galway. The Salthill Hotel is a lovely property that is located right on the Salthill promenade with panoramic views of Galway Bay. I’ve visited the hotel many times myself in the past and have always enjoyed the time I’ve spent there. Being a stunning location like Salthill but yet within walking distance of Galway city centre it really has the best of both worlds. Being a Galway man myself I must admit I’m a little bit biased about the area but I’m sure if you visit it you will feel the same.

The other new addition to our collection is the Tralee Central Hotel, formerly the Abbey Gate Hotel Tralee. The hotel is currently undergoing a bit of a face lift as it prepares for the rebranding event which takes place in a few weeks. FishWorks Café Bar was added to the hotel last year and is now a very popular dining spot with residents and locals alike so I’m sure the rest of the changes will prove just as popular. I plan to head down there myself once it’s all complete and I can’t wait to see what they’ve done to the place. With these latest additions to our collection it’s set to be a very exciting few weeks for us here at the Carlton Group.

Before I forget I must congratulate Conchúr Finnegan on winning this year’s Carlton Apprentice and hard luck to the runner up, Róisín Kearney. Both finalists did very well on their gift voucher sales and it was a very close competition throughout.
