New Carlton Hotel

Posted: 2011-04-01 17:00:00 This week has been a bit of a hectic one for me as of course my attention has been focused on the new addition to the Carlton Hotel Group. On Tuesday morning we were delighted to announce the addition of the Carlton Hotel Blanchardstown, formerly Plaza Hotel in Tyrrelstown, to the Carlton Group. I was in the hotel myself on Tuesday and it was great to get the chance to meet some of the managers and staff in the property and I look forward to working with them all in the future. One of the most important tasks in hand on Tuesday morning was to contact all the brides and grooms that have their weddings booked in the hotel to assure them their booking was still secure. I know our Director of Sales & Marketing, Jean O’Connell, personally called some of the couples and the feedback she received was extremely positive, they were all relieved to hear that the hotel is secure and the wedding details agreed will be honored by the Carlton Hotel Group. I’d like to take this opportunity to welcome the hotel and all the staff to the Carlton Hotel Group.

Preparations for this years Rose of Tralee Festival are kicking off and I’m finding it hard to believe its already that time of year again! The Carlton Shearwater Hotel are delighted to be hosting the search for the Galway Rose Selection Night tomorrow. At this rate it’ll soon be August and I’ll be helping to choose the 2011 Rose of Tralee! Another event happening in Galway this weekend is the Connacht and Edinburgh rugby game tonight. After five wins at home this season, Connacht are flying high at the moment and with only two home games left the team really need support as they push for their highest ever Magners League finish. On behalf of their sponsors, the Carlton Hotel Galway City, I would like to wish Connacht the best of luck in their game this evening.

In other rugby news, one of the most anticipated games of the season is on tomorrow with Leinster taking on Munster at Thomond Park. The game is sold out but I’m hoping I’ll be lucky and get some tickets but if not I’ll be cheering on Leinster at home!
