IASI Awards

Posted: 2013-02-01 17:30:00 For those of you that read last week’s blog you will have noticed that it featured a guest blogger, which I hope becomes a regular feature over the next few months. I will still be writing regularly but I will also give some of the managers and staff of our hotels the chance to fill you in on what’s going on in their properties. I hope you enjoy reading all the guest blogs and of course we always welcome your opinion on any of the posts.

Last weekend the accommodation managers from some of our hotels attended the Irish Accommodation Services Institute (IASI) Supreme Awards in Clare. The Supreme Awards were presented by IASI President, Ines Guerra (who is also Accommodation Manager at the Carlton Dublin Airport) and Aoibhinn Garrihy from Fair City. The Carlton Dublin Airport, Carlton Shearwater, Carlton Tralee and Carlton Blanchardstown all received awards at the event so it was definitely a successful night for the Carlton Group. I’d like to take this opportunity to congratulate all the hotels, accommodation managers and their staff; it’s great to see their work being recognised.

In sporting news this week the big news is Ireland’s RBS 6 Nations opener in Cardiff on Saturday. I am of course a big rugby fan so I will definitely be tuning in to watch this game. I’m confident Ireland will be able to beat the Welsh but I guess we’ll have to wait until tomorrow to find out!

Hope you all have a great weekend and don’t forget to cheer on Ireland in the match tomorrow!
