Carlton Shearwater wins Wedding Award

Posted: 2012-10-19 16:00:00 It’s been a really busy week for me but I can’t complain really because it’s much better to be kept busy! I mentioned last week that our hotels are busy preparing for the Halloween mid-term and from what I’ve heard most of them are nearly fully booked so there’ll definitely be plenty of activity around our hotels over the bank holiday weekend. If you still haven’t booked your break away make sure to do it soon and avail of our great Mini Explorers Offers before it’s too late!

This week we were delighted to hear that the Carlton Shearwater Hotel in Ballinasloe, Co. Galway won the Best Galway Venue in the 2012 weddingdates.ie awards. These awards are based on real reviews from past brides so it’s a brilliant achievement for the hotel. I have been to the hotel many times myself in the past and have never been let down by the food or service so it’s great to see that the team are being rewarded for their hard work. On behalf of all of us at the Carlton Group I would like to extend my congratulations to the hotel’s general manager, Martin Daly, and his team on this great award.

Speaking of weddings, the Carlton Hotel Tralee are holding a Wedding Showcase on Sunday the 28th of October from 2pm to 5pm so if you’re in the area make sure to call in.

The Heineken Cup is back in full swing with all four Irish provinces playing this weekend – guess that’s my weekend sorted so! Hope you all enjoy it whatever you get up to.
