Fish Restaurant 1st Birthday

Posted: 2011-08-05 17:30:00 The last long weekend of the summer is now over along with Kildare’s chance at winning this year’s All-Ireland final. I was at Croke Park on Saturday to watch Kildare take on Donegal and after a long game with extra time I was disappointed to see Kildare lose. The team put on a great fight through the whole match and for while we thought they had the game one but all it took was two points towards the end from Donegal which led them to victory. That means both my home and adopted counties are out of the championship but sure there’s always next year!

Last weekend the Fish Restaurant at the Carlton Atlantic Coast Hotel celebrated its first birthday. Every year we seem to say that time is flying but honestly it doesn’t feel like a year since we opened! To celebrate their birthday they ran promotions from Thursday right through the weekend. The restaurant is very popular with the locals and from what I’ve heard there were plenty of them in over the weekend to help them celebrate. Not only that but many of the hotel residents availed of the exclusive birthday offers also and knowing first hand what the food is like, I’m sure they’ll be back!

In head office this week we’ve been focusing on our promotion for this year’s Rose of Tralee Festival. This year we’ve come up with a great campaign but I can’t give anything away until next week! Enjoy whatever you’re up to this weekend and make sure to keep an eye out for more details on this year’s Rose of Tralee promotion!
