Wedding Winners

Our guest blogger Eveanna Ryan mentioned last week that we had the Apprentice Awards lunch on Thursday at the Carlton Shearwater Hotel. This is our third year running the search for the Carlton Apprentice and the candidates never fail to impress me with their abilities and determination. I would like to congratulate all the candidates this year with a special mention for the new Carlton Apprentice, Conchúr Finnegan. Conchúr gave a great acceptance speech at the awards lunch and I have no doubt he will make a great Apprentice for the Sales & Marketing team at the Carlton Hotel Blanchardstown.

There was plenty of celebrating in the Carlton Hotel Blanchardstown at the weekend when they announced the winners of their Sunday World Dream Wedding Giveaway competition. As part of the competition they asked couples to send in their engagement stories and after a month long search and an overwhelming response they came to a unanimous decision on the winning couple. They invited their chosen winners, Bridget Walsh and John Marchetti, to the hotel under the pretence that they were shortlisted for the prize. They were completely overjoyed when they found out they had actually won and what was even nicer is that they had brought their family with them to share the experience. John and Bridget had triumphed over some very strong competition to win the prize but their engagement story stuck out for its genuine romance and their amazing photo that captured the moment perfectly. On behalf of the Carlton Group I would like to congratulate John & Bridget and wish them the best of luck with all the wedding plans!

There wasn’t much celebrating for me at the weekend following Ireland’s defeat against Scotland but hopefully it will be different tomorrow after they take on France although I must admit it’s not looking likely!
