The Countdown Begins! - By Guest Blogger Brigeen O'Sullivan

Greetings from Tralee or should I say Costa del Kerry??!! Like the rest of the country we have been basking in amazing sunshine and what a difference it makes. It’s just fantastic to see all our guests enjoying the best of what Tralee has to offer, with golden beaches just ten minutes away the only problem is the trail of sand in the hotel lobby each evening as they return from a stunning day at the beach! Plus our guests have even been enjoying breakfast on our sunny terrace each morning….what a perfect way to start the day.

With only three weeks to the Roses arriving in Tralee, Rose Fever is definitely in full swing. Our General Manager Denis Deery and the rest of our operations team have been so busy finalising plans for the festival and we are all getting really excited. Reigning Rose Nicola McEvoy visited us last week and managed to squeeze in some pampering at Herbs & Roses C Spa and had an outdoor manicure in our courtyard.....bliss!

As part of the Gathering the Rose of Tralee has invited back past Roses, Escorts and people who have attended over the past year and has arranged a monster Ceili, an official unveiling of the "Rose Walk of Honour" in memory of all past Roses and an exhibition of 50 years of Rose Fashion. We have an amazing line up on acts both on the streets of Tralee and at the Festival Dome - JLS, The Stunning, Ryan Sheridan, The Coronas, Nathan Carter, Picture House, Sharon Shannon, The Coronas and many many more. I just have to work out now how I can fit them all into my busy schedule!

So the countdown is on and we look forward to seeing you in Tralee for the festival of the year!

Have a great weekend!
