5th Birthday Celebrations!

I want to start by congratulating Ireland in their victory against Bosnia-Herzegovina last weekend. It was just a friendly match but it was great for the fans to watch Ireland win with a victory of 1-0 and we’ll hopefully be celebrating more victories in the Euros! Unfortunately we weren’t celebrating in the Rugby though because Leinster narrowly missed out on making it two in a row in the RaboDirect final as they were beaten 30-31 by the Ospreys. It was disappointing to lose but the team have done so well this year it has been a great season overall and sure there’s always next year.

This week the Sales & Marketing team in head office have been busy preparing for the relaunch of our Mini Explorers campaign. The Carlton Group will have stands at Dublin Zoo and Fota Wildlife Park for the three days over the bank holiday weekend. I’ve been told there will be plenty of giveaways so make sure to pop by if you’re around either location and meet our Mini Explorers team. I’ll be sure to give you an update next week on how it all went!

The Carlton Hotel Tralee has had a very busy week with the launch of their Health & Fitness by C Club plus the 5th Birthday Celebrations. They hosted the launch last Thursday evening and although I didn’t make it down myself I heard it was a great evening. There were plenty of prizes given away plus lots of special guests including the 2012 Kerry Rose Ann-Marie Hayes. To celebrate their birthday the hotel offered a special discounted rate of €55 per room this week which proved to be very popular!

There’s a lot happening around Dublin this weekend so if you’re in the area make sure to call out to the zoo and visit our Mini Explorers stand. Hopefully the rain will hold off for the weekend as I’ve only just dusted off the barbeque! Have a great bank holiday weekend and be sure to drive safe if you’re out and about!
