Busy Week Ahead!
I must start by saying congratulations to Cork on their win against Down in the All-Ireland Senior Football Final yesterday. It was a close call with Down leading for most of the match but they were beaten by one point in the end which made for compelling viewing.
I have a very busy week ahead of me starting tonight with the filming of ‘You’re Fired’ at the Wright venue where we’ll get to see who Bill Cullen’s first victim was. Then I have an early start tomorrow with an appearance on TV3’s Ireland AM first thing, where I’m really looking forward to get the chance to discuss the show again.
Once I leave the studio I’ll be heading down to Athy to visit the National Ploughing Championships. This is the second year in a row that they’ve been held in Athy and it’s great to see the level of business it brings to such a small town. I’m really looking forward to seeing what’s on this year as it promises to be a great day out, not just for the ploughing enthusiasts.
Wednesday morning will see me travelling to Tralee to meet with the Rose of Tralee committee to review the 2010 festival and start planning the 2011 festival. I had a great time as a judge this year and I’m looking forward to coming up with some more ideas for next year. Speaking of the Rose of Tralee I will actually get the chance to catch up with this year’s winner Clare on Thursday as we are both judging the Queen of the Fair in Ballinasloe on Thursday. I can’t wait to reprise my role as a judge especially as the winner will get to go on and compete for the title of next year’s Galway Rose.
Don’t forget to watch out for me on TV3’s Apprentice tonight, I can promise you it will be a great show!
