April Fool's!

Posted: 2012-03-30 16:00:00 It’s been a glorious few days this week weather wise and it was great to see the hotels buzzing with happy people due to the few nice rays of sunshine, hopefully we get more of the same in the summer.

It’s a busy time of year in Carlton Head office with all the plans for the Summer falling into place, one of our major promotions of the year kicks off on Sunday which is our April Fool’s 50% Sale (and no it’s not a joke) so I’m sure the hotels will be well prepared for a busy few days of enquiries.

One of the engagements I’m most looking forward to this week and have been for quite a while is the visit of Uachtarán na hÉireann Michael D Higgins to the Carlton Shearwater Hotel in Ballinasloe. President Higgins will be there to speak at the 3 Day USI conference being held in the Carlton Shearwater Hotel. It’s a great honour for the hotel to have been chosen to host such a prestigious conference and it is a testament to the work of Martin and his team in the hotel.

As well as the conference taking place in Ballinasloe, this week and next are set to be busy ones with the Kids on Easter Holidays across the country and I know there are still some great offers to be had with our Mini Explorers club in full swing in many of the hotels for the next 2 weeks also.

I hope everyone has a good weekend, I myself will be sitting down on front of the TV tomorrow evening hoping Leinster can get one over the old foes Munster in Thomond Park.

On a final note, I’d like to congratulate our colleague Deirdre Ryan who got Married last Friday, no doubt she had a great day.
